Description

A survey course of the laboratory methods for studying microbes. Students explore microbes from both general and human-related standpoints. Students identify one unknown bacterial strain and maintain a laboratory notebook. Emphasis on skill development of techniques used by microbiologists. Offered: Fall and spring semesters. Prerequisiste(s): SCH 141or SCH 116; and SBL 151or SBL 153or SHL 215. SBL 218. Corequisiste(s): SBL 218.
