Founded in 1924 at the University of Illinois, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society has over 245 chapters in the United States. The mission of Alpha Lambda Delta is to encourage superior academic achievement, to promote intelligent living and a high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals in society. Membership is by invitation to second-semester freshmen who meet ALD's high academic standards.
