Description
Establishes both a theoretical and a practical, skills-based foundation for macro level generalist social work practice with communities. Formal and informal organizations andcommunity groups are analyzed, students learn the mediating role of organizations and groups in communities, and they focus on macro level change, taking into consideration the role ofoppression, discriminationand the uses stakeholder power.A 15-hour service learning component provides students with experience inmacro practice with communities.
